Rachel Helm and Stefan Booyens were married by Rachel's father, Nick Helm, Chaplain at Whirlow Grange Conference Centre, on Friday 19th December 2008 in the beautiful, tranquil setting of Whirlow Grange Chapel. We were delighted to create the flowers for Rachel and Stefan's special day reflecting their colour scheme of dark red, burgundy and ivory. Dressed in a full length, ivory and gold dress with luxurious layers of lace, satin and broderie anglaise, by Spanish design company, La Sposa, Rachel carried a hand tied bouquet of Black Baccara, Grand Prix and Passion Roses mixed with dark red Hypericum berries, Safari Sunset Leucadendron and a deep burgundy Protea echoing Stefan's birth place, South Africa. Stefan's wedding suit was finished with a Black Baccara Rose buttonhole decorated with coloured wire and beads. The altar in the Chapel was decorated with two black
vase arrangements comprising mixed red and burgundy Roses with Protea, Leucadendron and Hypericum berries.
Rachel's four bridesmaids dressed in figure hugging handmade burgundy satin dresses with black lace at the waist wore pretty ivory Germini wrist corsages again decorated red decorative wire and pearl beads. The ladies in the bridal party wore white Cymbidium orchid corsages with red wire and pearl beads to match the bridesmaids.
The tables in the Reception Room at Whirlow Grange were decorated with deep red Parrot Tulips wound inside glass fishbowls and the top table had six glass cubes packed with matching tulips and finished with ivory organza ribbon.

- "The flowers that you provided for our wedding were truly stunning. You captured the exact feel and theme that we had talked about and the end result was spectacular. We have received so many comments about the arrangements and accessories that you put together and everyone who took flowers home was thrilled. Thank you so much for your hard work they were the icing on the cake!"
