Sophie and John Holmes were married on Saturday 28th August 2009. With a ceremony at St. John's Church, Ranmoor, Sophie and John then greeted their guests to their wedding Reception in the lovely surroundings of Whirlowbrook Hall. Sophie wore an ivory bridal gown designed by Manuel Mota for Pronovias with a beaded bodice, soft organza skirt, organza sash and low back. To bring together the soft oyster pink of the Groom's accessories with the stunning marine blue taffeta of the bridesmaids' dresses, we worked with Sophie to select a soft 'vintage' look Rose, Something Special, with the pale green of the Green Tea Rose mixed with ivory Freesias, Green Condor Hypericum berries and ivory Viviane spray Roses. Sophie carried a hand tied bouquet of these mixed flowers with hints of Eucalyptus Parvifolia finished with a ivory satin ribbon and pearl headed pins.
John wore a Something Special Rose as his buttonhole with Eucalyptus Parvifolia finished with decorative silver bullion wire. The Father of the Bride, Best Man and Ushers all wore ivory Akito Rose buttonholes. The Mother of the Bride had a handbag corsage of ivory Viviane spray Roses.
Sophie's three bridesmaids', dressed in knee length marine blue taffeta dresses with halter neck and wraparound sash, carried hand tied posies of Something Special Roses mixed with ivory Viviane spray Roses and Eucalyptus Parvifolia to reflect the bridal bouquet.
- "We just wanted to thank you again for doing the flowers for our wedding on 28th August. They all looked beautiful and everyone commented how fabulous the colours were. And the room at Whirlow looked fabulous. It all helped to make the wedding such a fantastic day!"

We carried the same mix of flowers through into the table centres at Whirlowbrook using five tall (60 cm high) lily vases with decorative silver wire wound inside to give a contemporary twist topped with the pretty mauves, ivory and green and five low glass footed bowls, again with the same mix of flowers.
The mantlepiece in the Oak Room at Whirlowbrook was decorated with three vases, each containing a hand tied arrangement of flowers and finished with trailing ivy.
